Brethren,

This month is a special month for me. It is when my fellow Marines and I celebrate The 236th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps. It is also when we as a nation come together on Veterans Day to pay tribute to the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. As Americans, we take time from our busy lives to commemorate those patriots who risk or have risked their lives to give us the freedoms we enjoy, the families supporting them and those who have fallen.

Even the simple act of saying thank has a lasting impact on those you say it too. I still remember the gentleman who passed by me at a busy rest stop. He saw that I was wearing the Eagle, Globe and Anchor on my shirt, stopped and offered his hand while saying “Thank you for your service.” To all of our veterans who read this message I say “Thank you” and to my fellow Marines “Happy Birthday.”
